Next for birthers: blame Obama for 911!

Orly Taitz has been the leading proponent of the birther nonsense over the last two years. The revelation of Obama’s birth documents, obviously, was a black day for her cause, and Lawrence O’Donnell invited her onto his MSNBC show to discuss the birther issue. Taitz people had told O’Donnell she would indeed discuss the birther issue, but when she got on the air, she tried to hijack the show so she could launch her next conspiracy theory live on national TV. O’Donnell understandably cut her off, but before he could do so, Taitz was ranting about Obama’s alleged Selective Service fraud.

So I was curious: what is Taitz’ new beef? And I looked it up.

Taitz went to the Selective Service people directly, claiming to represent soldiers who question Obama’s eligibility to be commander in chief. She claimed that Obama’s Selective Service records were fraudulent, asserting that the wrong stamp had been used, or something.

Then she went a little woolly.

She also claimed that Obama secretly has hundreds of Social Security numbers, that one of the numbers purports Obama to be 118 years old, that another is linked to al-Qa’ida, and that another is connected somehow to “scientific work in Iran”…and that another number is linked to the plumbers who installed the sprinklers in the World Trade Center just before 911.

Or, specifically, this number which she claims is Obama’s number, allegedly belongs to Obama’s sister-in-law and is connected to an address which has a financial connection to a plumbing firm that is connected to another plumbing firm that worked on the WTC sprinklers. And that one of the plumbers “met a mysterious death”.

So, now that the birther nonsense has been exploded, this is the kind of nonsense we’ll be seeing them throw at Obama until election day.

But, no, the wingnuts wouldn’t accuse Obama of blowing up the WTC? They’re not that crazy, are they?
